Terms of Service

Hlu lets you build customizable workspaces, called Hlus, out of widgets, layouts and themes. The App needs no account. Your Hlus are stored on your device and synced through your iCloud account.

The Website hosts Hlu's community, feedback board, roadmap and public profiles. You sign in to the Website with Google.

Free and Hlu Pro

Hlu is free to download and use. Hlu Pro unlocks more features and is available as:

• Monthly: a subscription that renews every month
• Yearly: a subscription that renews every year
• Lifetime: a one-time purchase with no recurring charges

Billing

• All purchases are made through the Apple App Store and billed to your Apple ID
• Prices are shown in your local currency in the App before you buy
• Prices may vary by region and may change
• A price change never affects the period you've already paid for. Apple will let you know before a new price applies to a subscription renewal

Auto-renewal

• Monthly and Yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends
• If you cancel, you keep Hlu Pro until the end of the current billing period
• There are no long-term contracts. You can switch plans or cancel at any time

Lifetime

A Lifetime purchase gives you Hlu Pro for as long as we offer the App, on any device signed in to the same Apple ID. It is tied to your Apple ID and can't be transferred.

• To manage or cancel a subscription, go to your Apple ID subscription settings on your device
• Apple handles all refunds under its own policies. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com
• To restore purchases on a new device, use Restore Purchases in the App

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Hlu
• If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you
• You're responsible for all activity on your Website account
• Keep your Google account secure
• Pick a username that doesn't pretend to be someone else or infringe anyone else's rights

You own what you create. That includes your Hlus and anything you post on the Website, such as posts, comments, feedback and images.

When you post content in public areas of the Website, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and share it. We use this license only to run and promote Hlu. It ends when you delete the content or your account. Copies that other users have already shared or saved may remain.

You're responsible for your content. Only post content you have the right to share.

If you send us feedback or feature ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

You agree not to:

• Use Hlu for anything unlawful
• Post content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or misleading
• Post spam, malware, or content that infringes anyone's intellectual property
• Pretend to be another person or organization
• Manipulate votes, reactions, XP or leaderboards, for example with multiple accounts
• Reverse engineer the App, or try to extract its source code
• Get around purchase checks or unlock paid features without paying
• Scrape, overload or disrupt our infrastructure, or try to get around rate limits or security measures

We may remove content or restrict features for anyone who breaks these rules. To report content that breaks them, email support@hlu.app.

Hlu, including its name, logo, design, widgets and software, belongs to us and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control. This license is subject to these terms and Apple's Standard License Agreement.

We may:

• Add, change or remove features
• Change plan prices or availability
• Update these terms

We'll give you reasonable notice of material changes in the App or on the Website. If you keep using Hlu after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

Hlu is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for:

• Loss of data, including data lost through iCloud sync issues, device failure, or deleting app data
• Interruptions, errors or downtime
• Content posted by other users
• Any indirect, incidental or consequential losses from using Hlu

We encourage you to keep backups of anything important. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

You can stop using Hlu at any time. To delete your Website account, go to Settings → Account. To delete App data, use Delete data in the App's Settings.

We may suspend or end your access to the Website if you break these terms. Ending Website access doesn't affect purchases you've made through the App Store.
